Crocodile Bay Resort, situated in Puerto Jiménez on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula, offers a blend of world-class fishing and eco-adventures in one of the country's most biodiverse regions.
The resort provides customizable fishing excursions, including inshore, offshore, fly fishing, kayak fishing, and surf casting. Their private fleet of Boston Whaler and Strike Yachts is equipped for both novice and experienced anglers. Inshore species include roosterfish, cubera snapper, and bluefin trevally, while offshore targets encompass sailfish, marlin, tuna, and dorado.
Beyond fishing, Crocodile Bay offers over 30 eco-adventures, allowing guests to explore the rich biodiversity of the Osa Peninsula. The Fishing
Crocodile Bay Resort on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula offers exceptional fishing opportunities throughout the year, with peak seasons varying by species:
Offshore Fishing:

Blue Marlin: Most abundant during November and December, with another peak in March and April.

Black Marlin: Primarily found in July and August.

Striped Marlin: Occasionally present, mainly in July and August.

Sailfish: Present year-round, with peak concentrations from November to May, and a secondary peak in late June or early July.

Dorado (Mahi-Mahi): Common from January through May, with significant abundance in November and December.

Yellowfin Tuna: Available year-round; larger individuals (100 to 300 pounds) are often encountered alongside schools of porpoises offshore. Peak seasons include July and August, as well as November and December.

Wahoo: While not prevalent, Wahoo can be caught any day of the year, though they are not common in this area.

Itinerary:
Day 1
Depart San Jose (after a few days at Silver King Lodge is great!) and short 30 min flight to Peurto Jiminez. Settle into your rooms and get briefed on your fishing activities for the next few days.

Day 2-9
3-7 days guided fishing and other activities.

Day 8
Depart the lodge and catch domestic Sansa Air flight back to San Jose and onward at your discretion.

Crocodile bay is a great second leg for an awesome Costa Rican combo trip where you can fish for Giant Tarpon on the Caribbean coast (East coast) for a few days then top it off with a few days in the blue-water at Crocodile Bay.
