Just a short two and a half hour flight from Perth and you will find yourself in Exmouth, one of the top spots for quality game and sportfishing. There are around 500 different species of fish in the area, and it’s one of Australia’s top diving spots.

Between the times of mid-March to late July is when you can expect to come face-to-fin with one of the ocean’s gentle giants, the whale-shark. This is one of the world’s best locations for these one-on-one interactions.

There’s also gigantic humpback whales to be found, especially between June and November. Adding to this year-round cycle of visitors, the region plays host to turtle nesting from November through to March.

Fishing

Located right on the tip of a peninsula just off Australia’s West coast, Exmouth’s calm waters provide great access to the gulf around the eastern side of the cape. Just a quick drive away, anglers can enjoy one of the best parts about an Exmouth Fishing Trip – the deep blue waters of the Ningaloo Reef.

Ningaloo Reef is Australia's largest fringing reef, which in some sections is accessible only metres from the beach. Its location close to the continental shelf is unique, and you will be amazed when you discover the large number of fish in the area – there are over 40 species of game fish on offer.

There are a range of different charters available depending on the type of species you are chasing, be it a bonefish or a large blue marlin.

We offer a custom-built 30 foot vessel which is quick, comfortable and stylish, or a larger 40 foot O'Brien Gameboat. Both vessels have plenty of tackle on-board!

Also available is a custom built "Contender." This 25 foot centre console is powered by twin 150hp Yamaha four stroke outboards.

There’s both light and heavy tackle fishing on offer as part of our Exmouth Fishing Trips, including the mighty marlin and sailfish, plus sport fishing for trophy size Spanish mackerel, wahoo, mahi mahi, cobia, shark, 6 species of tuna and a number of trevally.

Try popper fishing for the awesome queenfish, giant trevally (GT's), coral trout, red bass and many more reef-dwelling species.

If you want to drop a line or wish to take a fish home for dinner, it can be arranged. red emperor, ruby snapper, coral trout, spangled emperor, gold band snapper, cod and many more delicious species are regular visitors to this area.
